Supporting you in creating your success here at the University of Utah is the most important thing we do.
We know that your situation is unique, so we take time to work closely with you to learn about your particular needs, aspirations, and goals.
When you meet with one of us, you will discover possibilities you may never have considered. We can help you connect your interests and passions with programs that offer extraordinary experiences and make a difference in the world. We can point you to services that will help you address life and school stressors. And we have the experience to offer insight and counsel that will give you peace of mind that you’re on the right track. We want you to be free to pursue your dreams and have confidence that you can achieve them!
The Student Success and Empowerment Initiative is aware of the current controversy surrounding the movement to make changes to the University of Utah’s fight song and wants to remind students that Student Success Advocates are here on campus to assist with processing and engaging difficult conversations like the one impacting our community now. We are able to support students who are affected by the contentious nature of the conversations occurring around this issue; both by processing feelings around the issue and considering ways to engage in healthy and productive conversations about it. Please let us know if you would like to speak with an advocate. To speak with a Student Success Advocate, please check our website (www.studentsuccess.utah.edu/ ) for their schedule and contact information, or call our office at 801.587.8556.
